The Health Ministry and the National Cyber Security Authority announced suspicions on Thursday that the Doctor’s Visit clinic network had been targeted in a cyber attack.
A joint statement said that the network’s information security teams are investigating the event, including examining whether information was leaked and its nature. At this stage, it is too early to determine, but Israeli authorities are prepared for any scenario. The Doctor’s Visit clinics are operating as usual and are continuing to provide medical treatment.
“The company identified at the beginning of the week an indication of a cyber event carried out by Iranian attackers,” the clinic said. “The detection was made at an early stage. The company immediately took containment measures, including disconnecting the organization’s network initiator, to minimize risks and safeguard information security. So far, no indication of a leak of confidential or substantive information has been found.”
“The company operates in collaboration with information security experts and relevant authorities to manage the event. It should be emphasized that clinics are operating as usual. The company maintains regular contact with its customers and operates with them in full cooperation. The security of its customers’ information and maintaining the continuity of the service are at the top of the company’s priority order.”
