JERUSALEM (JNS) – A nine-year-old Israeli girl who suffered cardiac arrest last week while running to a bomb shelter in the southern city of Ashdod died on Saturday, Assuta Hospital announced. Israeli media identified the victim as Tamar Torpiashvili. (JNS) – Israel denounced on Saturday a proposal by Elon Musk to provide internet connectivity to aid organizations in Gaza, saying Hamas would take advantage. With electricity and internet connectivity nearly non-existent, Musk said on X, formerly Twitter, “Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza.” Starlink is a constellation of satellites providing internet connectivity in more than 60 countries, in areas with limited telecommunications infrastructure. DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — The Palestinian telecom provider Paltel says internet service in Gaza Strip has been cut off by Israeli bombardment. Services were cut Friday evening, following a heavy round of Israeli airstrikes that lit up the night sky over the darkened territory.
