The Israeli army is served by thousands of “lone” soldiers who have come from all corners of the globe, leaving behind family and friends, to fight for their ancestral homeland. And while these brave young men and women make this sacrifice proudly, it nevertheless elicits tears of great joy to be reunited with their loved ones. Likewise, it is a gut-wrenching time for local Israeli families when their young sons, aged just 18–20, must go and fight in places like Hamas-ruled Gaza. Their safe homecoming is cause for much weeping and prayers of thanksgiving. Originally posted by Hananya Naftali at Israel…
It isn’t hard to understand the cause of the “Middle East Problem” – even though the nations of the world have been trying to solve it for nearly 68 years. Watch this video from Prager University for the simplest explanation you’ll ever find of why there is no peace in the Middle East. Of course, when the world talks about “peace in the Middle East” the only problem they are referring to is Israel, because no one cares about the fighting between Muslim Arab groups. Only about the fight between Muslims and Jews.
Enjoy this special Christmas greeting from Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
This speech, given by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on December 6, was not directly addressed to Obama. However, it’s clear that he understands what the American president does not: radical Islamic terrorism must be defeated. This is the speech Obama should have given after San Bernardino. In this address, Netanyahu dispels myths about the cause of terrorism, outlines the historic context of the Middle East turmoil, and lays out a strong plan to protect the West and Israel from this threat. He also exposes the true obstacle to peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Here’s a hint: it’s not…
“On behalf of the people and Government of Israel, I extend our deepest sympathies to the people of France and to the families of those who were brutally murdered in Paris last night. We also extend our wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded. Israel stands shoulder-to-shoulder with France in this common battle against militant Islamic terrorism. I’ve instructed Israel’s security and intelligence forces to assist their French counterparts and their counterparts from other European countries in any way possible. Terrorism is the deliberate and systematic targeting of civilians. It can never be justified. Terrorism must always be condemned.…
The European Union has made no secret of its intention to single Israeli settlements out for economic discrimination by labeling Israeli products made in the West Bank. This week, this policy was approved and put in place despite Israel’s intense objection that to do so would unfairly discriminate against Israel’s manufacturers and advance the cause of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement. The Israeli political Right and Left were united in condemning this decision as anti-Semitic and an eerie throw-back to the Holocaust when Jews in Europe were forced to identify themselves with a yellow star. Leaders in Israel said…
This week the US House of Representatives passed a bi-partisan resolution explicitly condemning the Palestinian leadership’s incitement of terror which has led to nearly a thousand attacks on Israelis in the last two months. 369 members signed a letter telling President Abbas to end his incitement and stop the violence or risk losing hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid from the United States. Unlike President Obama and Secretary Kerry, the House of Representatives made it clear that there is no moral equivalency between the terrorists and their victims. The resolution’s sponsor, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, made this statement after…
The terrorism and violent protests that have plagued Israel nearly every day since September 14th of this year has drawn the attention of the world. But not to pressure the Palestinian leadership to get their people under control and bring an end to the violence. Instead, world leaders repeatedly condemn Israel for causing Palestinian anger by allowing settlements in the West Bank. One of the most popular claims made by those who are critical of Israel is that under international law, Israel is an illegal occupier of the West Bank. But as you can see in this video, international law…
