The IDF identified on Thursday morning at 7:03 a.m. that between 20 and 30 missiles were launched from Iran toward Israeli territory.
This is the largest barrage launched from Iran in the past 48 hours. There are reports of at least seven impact sites, including three in Gush Dan and one at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva, which sustained a direct hit. At the Ramat Gan strike, at least 20 buildings were damaged by the blast.
So far, 23 individuals have been reported injured across all impact sites.
A spokesperson for Soroka said: “There has been damage to the hospital and extensive damage in various areas. We are currently assessing the damages, including the injured.”
“We ask that people avoid coming to the hospital at this time. We will provide further updates shortly.”
Rescue services have checked reports of dangerous chemical leaks in the hospital region and have confirmed there is no further concern.
Dr. Shlomi Codish, Soroka’s director, stated, “A missile struck the surgical inpatient building. This is a relatively old building, which has been evacuated from the departments. The building was severely damaged, and there is extensive damage to other buildings due to the blast. The entire staff was in protected areas.” He added, “All the injured are in light condition due to the blast. The building is only operational for life-saving cases. The teams are mapping out the area.”
