The US Embassy Jerusalem is celebrating America’s 250th birthday during the week of September 6, at the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem. Held in partnership with the museum for the second consecutive year, the “Freedom 250” celebration, headed by Ambassador Mike Huckabee, marks a milestone in American history at a defining moment for the US–Israel alliance.
The celebration follows an extraordinary period in US–Israel relations. During the war with Iran, the two countries carried out coordinated military operations against a shared regional threat, reflecting an unprecedented level of strategic and operational cooperation between the allies. The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem shares the embassy’s commitment to freedom, democracy, human dignity, and the fight against antisemitism and hatred in all their forms. In a special message recorded ahead of the event, Huckabee described the museum as “an international beacon of hope and human dignity in the heart of Israel’s capital and a valued strategic partner of the US Embassy.”
